Rest & Recovery

31 Jul 2012 | Hits: 320

I don’t get bored very often, even though my life is filled with the same schedule of training, eating, treatments and sleep with very little time left for socializing.  I love it!!   Each day becomes one and I tend to forget what day of the week it is.  I enjoy my routine so much when based in one place long enough to have a constant schedule and seeing improvements happen is such a great feeling.  I have become so accustomed to my training schedules that when my training is interrupted for any reason, I have feelings of restlessness and guilt. The recovery days are a necessity, enabling your body and mind that one day gives me a recharge, but in the situation of having sustained an injury is when the mind works over time telling me that I should be on the Squash Court training, but with experience you start to learn that rest and recovery is just as important and you find a way to turn off those guilty little voices in your head.
