I can't believe it is December! Time is flying! I have already attended a Christmas dinner with friends and we (Marcus and I) are just getting ready to hit the road.  We are spending Christmas with Marcus’s family this year in Guyra the drive to Guyra is about 6 hours.  Guyra is a small town situated midway between Armidale and Glen Innes on the Northern Tablelands in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia.

Christmas is such a beautiful time of year spending valuable time with family, friends and enjoying some delicious food!

I would like to take a moment to reflect of such an amazing year this year has been.  Getting back on court, competing again, getting my body back in a state where I am looking marginally athletic again and back winning tournaments.

There are so many people to thank and I am so grateful to have so many of you that believed in my ability to get back on court and for all those wonderful words of support I received when I was down and out in 2012.

Byron Davis, Vicki Cardwell, Anthony Ricketts, Sarah Fitzgerald, Rodney Eyles.  A huge thanks, to the squash coaches that have supported me in the past few years.  With words of wisdom, working with me on court, having confidence in my ability and just sticking by me.  I am so lucky to have such great advice from such an amazing group of squash champions.

There are huge changes going on next year with the AIS not existing any more and moving forward to the winning edge programme.  I have been apart of the AIS for many years now and I can say that I would not be in the position I am today with my squash without all their support over the years.

I am very excited about next year as I feel every aspect of my game can only get better.  I am also excited about the fact that I have got a solid team around me now and we are all working together in getting me to the Commonwealth Games next year and working towards my ultimate goal of making the top 10 in the world.

We will be getting into the Christmas spirit tomorrow, as the baking and cooking will start in preparation for Christmas day.  I will be making my traditional Maltese pudina tal-hobz.  Ill post the receipe in another blog it is delicious and you’ll all have to bake it.  Stay posted for photos of my christmas time in Guyra to come in my next blog.

This is all from me for 2014 so wishing you all a very Merry Christmas thanks for all your support and following my blog.

Stay safe and I look forward to writing, talking and keeping you all updated in the New Year.  xx
