When I started to play squash two year ago, it was my goal to be the best and no.1 squash player. I made up my mind that I’m going to be the best and I want to be a champion and world no.1 like Jahangir and Jansher khan. I made my short, long term and dream goal. My dream goal is to be world no.1 and world champion. My short term goal was to be no.1 in Brisbane, Queensland and Australia. I was working and training hard on every fundamental part of my game.

One of my dream idols that I met with told me. “See dreams and achieve it because the time when you see that dream your achievement starts from there.” When he told me that I suddenly told him I saw in my dreams that I became no.1 in Brisbane, Queensland and Australia and I did achieve it in my real life. I became no.1 in Australia, Brisbane and Queensland. Also, I saw in my dream that I became no. 1 in the world and I’m holding the world open title. He said. “You will be successful work and train hard like Jahangir and Jansher khan and you will become no.1 in the world and world champion that’s what I believe.” When I go to bed at night I always think “After Jahangir and Jansher khan no one became the no.1 squash player from Pakistan. I should train hard so I can bring back that pride by becoming no.1 in the world and world champion.”
On the very few months in Australia, I played my first tournament and I beat the top 10 players of Australia and won the tournament. I played few more tournaments like that and I won the Brisbane Junior Open and I became no.1 in Brisbane Juniors.

Last year, I played Queensland Junior Championships and I should tell you this. Few days before the tournament I saw myself playing my friend Alex Eustace in the final of Queensland Junior Championship and I won the match. Guess what happened? I win all my matches and went through to the final. The time comes I was 2-0 down and he had 4 game balls in the third game to take the no.1 spot and Queensland junior title. After, the 2nd game I came out I was freaking out, I was nervous and I was kind of very negative because I wasn’t playing very well and I wasn’t happy of what was happening with me on that day. I am thankful to my coach Robyn Prentice. She is a great coach. She gave me tips and it was the 1st time I saw my coach getting angry at me. She shouted and said. “Do you want to win this match!!?” I said. “Yes, I want to win this match!” she said. “Then go and play your game!!” I went on the court Alex was leading 10-6 which means he had 4 match balls. I prayed to my God (Allah) and started to play my game. I don’t want to give up that easily. I started to play well. I was getting my lengths, drops everything I put him under pressure and guess what? Its 10-10 and I took two more points to take this match to 4. Half way through the 4th game I was leading and I looked at Alex’s body language. It was changed. I knew he was broken mentally and physically. I beat him in the 4th game. Now, it’s the last and deciding game. This game will decide who will be 1 and champion of Queensland U17s. When I walked on the court I knew I beat him already. I went shook his hand. I told him good luck and I went to the service box and bounce the ball few times and I looked at him, we both game each other a smile. “Here we go” I told myself. I started to beat him in every point and I just beat him with my shots. I don’t want to make the game any longer. Our match went over an hour. We both were tired and eventually, I managed to beat him in the 5th game 11-2. I threw my racquet in the air. I was happy and I thanked my Allah (God) for helping me winning the Queensland junior Championships and becoming no.1 in Queensland.

One my short term goal was to represent Australia and become no.1 in Australia. I always believed in my Allah (God) and myself that I can achieve my goals. My faith is helping me doing it. I represented my newly country Australia and I did became no.1 in Brisbane, Queensland and Australia. I always thank Allah (God) of what he has given me.
At the end, I would like to give my Special thanks to my God (Allah) and everyone esp. my Parents, Coach Robyn Prentice, Raymond Payne, Adam Morgan, Shannon Anderson, my training partners, Rachael Grinham, Lisa Camelleri, Matt Hopkins, Sunil Seth, David Smith, Jeremy Schenider, Chad Anderson, Max Moorhouse, all my best friends, Jackson Manteit, my sponsors Harrow, Acacia ridge squash club and there are more people who supported me.
